Tax Compliance, Inc. (TCI) announces the release of Insight for PTMS, a new property tax management tool to give tax professionals the metrics and access they need to successfully manage their property taxes at anytime from anyplace.
Insight consists of three components: a module inside of TCI’s PTMS property tax software, a web portal, and a mobile app for both Android and iOS. The Insight mobile app is available for download from the App Store and from Google Play. “This mobile app will enable our customers to break free from their desks and access their property taxes from their phone or tablet anywhere in the world,” said Scott Strauss, CEO of TCI.
Insight keeps tax professionals on top of their deadlines by sending automatic email alerts for pending property tax tasks and dues dates. Users can configure warning periods so the notifications fit within their process framework. “Dashboards are nice, but proactive warnings are better,” said Mike Mulinix, Director of Client Services, “because in the property tax business, it’s common to face hundreds of deadliness compressed into a few short weeks and it’s too easy to let something slip through the cracks.”
Insight also empowers managers to keep track of the overall property tax process and remotely approve tax returns and payments without having to access their PTMS systems directly. It provides the information necessary to make informed judgments and provides tools for obtaining additional information if it is needed. “Overseeing your staff’s work makes for a tough balance without the right tools,” said Strauss, “because you don’t want them wasting their time creating status reports, but you need to know the deadlines will be met and the work is being done properly.”
Insight features advanced analytics and KPIs to help tax departments meet their objectives and goals. Analysis of year-over-year trends and workflow statuses provide managers with visibility into overall performance and any subsequent financial risk or impact. “Insight makes it quick and easy for the right people to get the information they need,” said Mulinix, “because in today’s world it’s essential to have on-demand access to the right data in order to make informed decisions at a moment’s notice.”
