Tax Compliance, Inc. has announced the release of Property Tax Management System (PTMS) version 3.6. Enhancements include automatic updates of property tax forms and tax data; a reconfiguration of the Real Property Manager with new standard and user-defined reports; and the ability to print the appropriate mailing label for each property tax return.
PTMS v3.6 contains a feature that automatically updates each client’s PTMS database with current tax return forms and the latest property tax data. This time-saving feature accesses a TCI server via the Internet and advises the client of the availability of new tax data files and property tax returns, which can be transferred ready to use to the client’s PTMS system with the click of a mouse. Automated updates include the latest tax returns, plus jurisdiction, assessor and collector information, as well as depreciation and index tables, tax rates, and tax calendar dates. This feature virtually eliminates the time and effort previously required to regularly update each client’s in-house PTMS installation.
Several enhancements to the Real Property Manager have also been included with this latest release. To further optimize efficiency, the Real Property Manager has been reorganized to include additional on-screen data and an expanded work area. New standard reports have been added, including an Appeal History Report that displays data chronologically in detail or summary format for each tax appeal. In addition to its new standard reports, the PTMS v3.6 Real Property Manager also supports user-defined ad hoc Quick Reports and data exports in Excel and other formats.
Mailing property tax returns is even easier with PTMS v3.6. When printing returns PTMS automatically saves a PDF file of the mailing addresses for the appropriate assessors. This file is pre-formatted for printing on Avery® 5160 address labels to facilitate mailing your property tax returns to the assessor.
